18 April 2014: Tickets Now On Sale for Dollar Academy Musical: Guys and Dolls

Rehearsals have just begun for this year’s Senior Musical, Guys and Dolls and tickets can now be purchased via a link on the Dollar Academy website.


18 April 2014: Ski Tour 2014

On Saturday 29 March, 113 Dollar pupils and 16 staff departed Dollar for the snow-laden slopes of Les Menuires in the French Alps. 


1 April 2014: Junior School Science Fair

The annual Junior School Science Fair took place on Wednesday 19th February in the Assembly Hall.  All 88  Junior 2 pupils had spent a great deal of time outwith lessons producing individual science projects. 


1 April 2014: Eco Trashion Show

The school assembly hall was transformed into the backdrop for a spectacular runway show, with teachers modelling outfits created for them in the Dollar Eco Trashion show.


27 March 2014: Gymnastics and Dance Display 2014

The Dollar Academy Gymnastics and Dance Display took place at the school on Wednesday 19th March and provided an opportunity for pupils to showcase their talents with an energetic and varied programme.


26 March 2014: Enterprise in Prep 5

Over £1500 was raised by Prep 5s’ annual enterprise project on Friday 21 March; this year’s theme was ‘Musical Mayhem’. 


20 March 2014: A visit from the Mumbles

Welsh rugby team, the Mumbles Crusaders from Swansea, were hosted at Dollar as part of an U14 Festival of Rugby at the weekend, and were joined by teams from other Scottish Independent Schools.

Diversion for First Group 391 Bus Service – as of 22nd January 2014


Due to the preparatory work for railway electrification at the station bridge in Larbert, the 391 bus service will be operating a different route from normal. Until further notice, the service will operate via Foundry Loan (rather than Tryst Road) and then along Bellsdyke Road.
