12 January 2015: Dollar Pipers Journey to Sri Lanka

On Monday 24 November, Dollar Academy’s pipe band seniors decided they’d had enough of the Scottish skies and Scottish weather—it plays such havoc with their tuning! The solution? A short, 22-hour door-to-door trip to Sri Lanka. They were accompanied by Lt Col & Mrs Craig Stewart.

12 January 2015: Dollar Academy’s Christmas Concert at Usher Hall

For most within the Dollar Academy community, it has become a tradition to ring in the Christmas season with the Christmas Concert at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh, to watch in some awe as the school’s massed choirs and orchestra demonstrate yet again that they can offer a performance that befits such a world-class venue.

5 December 2014: Dollar Pupils Compete in Scottish Schools Quartet and Trio Piping Competition 2014

Torrential rain and a long drive to Aberdeen do not offer the most favourable conditions under which to prepare for the Scottish Schools Piping Quartet and Trio Piping Championships.

5 December 2014:  Dollar Academy’s U16 Play Merchiston Castle School U16 in Brewin Dolphin Scottish Schools Cup
