Congratulations are owed to the many Dollar Academy hockey players who represented Midand at the Inter-district U16 and U18 Championship on the weekend of the 4-5 October.  The championship took place at the National Hockey Academy at the University of Edinburgh’s Peffermill playing fields.

9 October 2014: French, German and Spanish Exchange Pupils Visit Dollar

In late September, Dollar Academy played host to three sets of exchange groups comprising a total of fifty-five pupils.  While these exchanges happen every year at Dollar, this year was unique in that the three groups arrived in Dollar at the same time—this has never happened before. The result was a kind of ‘happy invasion’, said Ms Sieger (German Teacher), of Dollar Academy by Spanish, French and German pupils.

9 October 2014: Dollar FII Pupil Selected for Scotland U17 Girls’ Cricket Squad

The 2014-2015 Scotland U17 Girls’ Cricket Squad has been announced and a remarkable young Dollar Academy pupil has made the squad.  Màili Gardiner (FII) is only fourteen, one of the youngest to make the team, but her passion for the sport makes the reason for her selection obvious.

9 October 2014: Dollar Pupil Recognised for Swimming Success

Kirstin Lawrie (FII) is to be congratulated on having been selected to represent Scotland West at the National Inter-counties Championships being held in Sheffield this month.
