SQA Examination Results 2009

Post Appeal

Session 2009 again saw record numbers of Dollar's senior pupils gaining outstanding results in this year's SQA examinations. A full summary of these results, post-appeal, can be found in the table below.

The pass rate at Higher (A-C) in Form V was comfortably over 90%; the quality of passes was by far the best ever. Over 57% of passes gained were at level A; forty-four Form V pupils gained five A passes and nine pupils gained all A Band 1s.

The Rector, John Robertson, said, "Pupils, parents and teachers deserve enormous credit for what has been achieved. Ambition on its own is not enough: it is the long-term determination to work for success which makes the difference. In that way Bs become As, and fail grades become passes. There will be many delighted pupils this year."

Results in Advanced Higher were also very strong, with 88% of awards at A-C and 40% at A.
