Many congratulations to Dollar’s senior pupils on their outstanding results in this year’s SQA examinations. The pass rate at Advanced Higher was a record 94%, with an astonishing 55% of passes being A grades. This is also the first year of the Scottish Baccalaureate, and of the nine candidates presented by Dollar, all passed, with six at Distinction level.

In Form V, results at Higher were equally impressive with a 91% pass rate, and over half of these passes at A grade. As usual, Form IV produced exceptional results in Intermediate 2 and Standard Grade examinations, where the pass rates were 99% and 98% respectively.

The new Rector, David Knapman, commented, “These results are a tribute to everyone involved and I am delighted that Dollar pupils are encouraged to excel in all that they do. Pupils, teachers and parents can all be hugely proud of these results as academic success like this is usually based on hard work, good teaching, and a supportive and encouraging working environment.”
