PARENTS' COMMENTS ON HEYWORTH
-
Being in the Armed Forces with frequent postings both overseas and in the UK, [the House has been] the stabilizing factor in our children's lives.
-
It offers them continuity and a safe environment with sensible rules and guidelines.
-
Houseparents are chosen with great care and are supported by a very loyal team of house-staff who are the backbone of the houses.
-
Our children thrive in the "family" atmosphere and all three have made life-long friendships.
-
All boarders are very close and look out for each other; this is encouraged by joint trips, ceilidhs and other get-togethers
-
.Speaking to someone recently I should let the next sentence speak for itself and which sums up Dollar Academy in my eyes:
-
"Isn't that the school with the high moral values?" I answered with a wholehearted YES!
-
This attitude is very much part of the boarding ethos and we fully support this as parents.
