Prep 3 Kingsbarn Beach Visit

Prep 3 visited Kingsbarns in order to investigate a beach environment.  They were interested to find out if physical environments affect how living things grow.  The children were delighted to be marine biologists for the day and were lucky to have the expertise of Dollar Academy’s resident marine biologists Mr C Ainge and Mrs M Smith.  The field trip was extremely useful; the children particularly enjoyed scrambling among the rocks and rock pools to locate the variety of living things in the beach environment.  The snow shower did not dampen our spirits, in fact, eating lunch at the beach in a snow shower was an experience in itself!
