DOODLE4GOOGLE!
Google like to reflect the ever-changing world of their users through the logo designs on their homepage. Each year, they ask young people aged 5–16 from across the UK to design their own 'Google doodle', and this year's theme was 'My Hero'.
Two entries from Dollar Academy reached the finals:

Karolina Brzozowska (Form V)

Ella Hammond (Junior 2)
"When my art teacher, Mr Maclean, asked if anyone thought they would like to take part in the Doodle4Google Competition, I decided I would have a go! Three months later, I heard that I was a regional finalist, alongside a girl in the Senior School. I was very excited as I had not thought that my drawing would be noticed amongst the thousands of entries. Not long after this, I heard that another girl in my age group had been chosen as the age-group winner but I didn’t mind as it had been an exciting experience and a thrilling adventure!"
