HIGHER BUSINESS MANAGEMENT REVISION CONFERENCE – PAISLEY TOWN HALL

On Monday 2 March a group of Form V and VI Higher Business Management pupils, accompanied by Mrs Duncan and Miss Spencer, travelled to Paisley to attend the Higher Business Management Revision Conference. The key speakers consisted of experienced teachers and examiners who offered lots of advice and tips on how best to tackle the final examination in May.
Pupils were also addressed by Fraser Doherty, one of Scotland’s youngest entrepreneurs. He shared his story of success; he created SuperJam after being taught how to make jam by his gran. He explained the joys and frustrations that he experienced as he tried to grow his business and persuade leading supermarkets to stock his jam. His jam is now stocked by leading supermarkets.
Holly Grant, Form V was one of two students from over 20 schools at the conference singled out and praised for her excellent contribution to the day. Holly participated fully in all sessions and volunteered many answers. Holly was presented with a pot of SuperJam from Fraser Doherty. She is photographed with Fraser Doherty as she was presented with her prize.
