Technological Studies

Intermediate 2: introducing pupils, by way of problem solving project based tasks, to several aspects of modern technology.  These projects are structured around four units: Applied Electronics; Systems and Control; Mechanical Systems; Energy.

Higher Level: further develops understanding of Applied Electronics and Systems and Control, and considers the forces at work in the built environment, through a Structures and Materials unit. The pupils select one element of this study to produce a case study which is the perfect venture to practise the skills needed in further education.

Advanced Higher Level: studies in the three areas covered at Higher Level are furthered considerably; this course provides an excellent foundation for those wishing to enter higher education in the areas of engineering, manufacturing or technology. Once again, a case study is written which will further refine researching, analysis and documenting skills.
