SPORTS FIXTURES, ARRANGEMENTS, RESULTS AND INFO CONTENT
After school sport and co-curricular activities are voluntary at Dollar - pupils are not required to take advantage of the opportunities on offer, merely encouraged. The enthusiasm of Dollar pupils in taking up sports and activities, however, gives lie to the myth that young people are merely looking for an easy life.
Dollar's success in competitive environments - sporting or otherwise - lies in the quality of the coaching, the strength of commitment based on our voluntary policy, and the supportive culture that respects genuine effort. Dollar pupils regularly represent Scotland and the UK in sport. Over sixty pupils currently in the Academy have represented their country in international competition.

Chartered Physiotherapist, Lesley McIlwraith continues to run physiotherapy clinics within Dollar Academy. So far, these have proved to be very busy, with staff and pupils benefitting from fast access to this on site physiotherapy service. Lesley will assess and treat all types of aches, pains and injuries-not just sports injuries. Working closely with the PE staff, early treatment and appropriate rehabilitation of injured pupils-in particular those participating in rugby and hockey –has helped them return to sport quickly and appropriately. Mr Steve Newton, Head of PE said “Lesley has made a huge difference to injury treatment and management at Dollar. She has already helped a wide range of pupils, from 1st XV players to many of our younger boys and girls. Not only is she treating injuries effectively, but ensuring players come back only when they are ready to do so. Lesley is extremely professional and all of our players have spoken very highly of the treatment they have received.”
