Safety

Skiing is an adventurous sport and obviously has risks.

We take safety very seriously and so we budget the tour on a 1:8 staff/pupil ratio (or better). Similarly we pay a supplement for a 1:8 average ratio in the lessons to ensure that the professional instructors have reasonably sized groups (especially for the lower ability skiers) and can thus provide a better lesson.

On the last tour, many skiers chose to wear helmets and the Academy may well issue guidelines advising their use. Helmets are available for hire in resort for £13.

Many of the staff have been on several previous tours to the resort and thus have a very good knowledge of the Les Menuires area and what the pupils in their care are capable of.

Medical care and rescue facilities in the resort are excellent and are backed up by an excellent insurance policy.
